The BluePrints for Public Education
What if we solved our greatest dilemma and achieved record breaking success? What would that actually look and feel like. Beginning with the results, like building a home or a village, the architect drafts out a design for the end product and the builders all work according to the design. We begin with the outcome.
BluePrint Publishing is built on the philosophy of a holistic future backward concept. We begin with a sketch of our desire for record breaking literacy, numeracy and graduation rates, drastic reductions in referrals and overall increase in moral in the school community. The BluePrints are social studies based lessons that integrates the requirements from other domains to increase student comprehension, retention and engagement.
Our students are like the building blocks, but they can’t see how they fit into our vision, until we actually envision it. Community means working together and sharing a vision, but it also means sharing responsibility for lifting each other up. We rise together when every one in the vision has a vested interest in the outcome.
What we provide:
- A seamless integration into your community to eliminate the gaps in communication and delivery of services.
- A trustworthy certified and reliable community partner available on demand at the table, with a clear and vested interest in your success.
- A clear vision for bringing families together and developing a true connection with students and families.
- There is always just a handful of students who are repeat offenders. In some cases these are students so far behind that their perception of catching up is that it is impossible, but in many cases there are students who are advanced and need to be challenged. This small group of students may cause such a disruption that the entire school community is impacted.
Behavior technicians, detention monitors and administrators cycle through the same core group of students with the same responses. As part of the BluePrints design, we will collaborate with your guidance counselor and teachers to bridge the gaps in service delivery by providing Individualized Social Studies based curriculum maps which connect all the missing credits in other domains. These students will have customized, culturally relevant and engaging lessons that they will have a part in preparing.
How we work:
School administration identifies up to 10 students at a time, who have demonstrated inability to thrive in the traditional general education setting.
- BPP will meet with students one on one to assess student needs and identify specific supports needed for each student.
- We will then help them to discover their interests or topics they would like to pursue
- design customized plans for earning credit in multiple domains to advance through high school.
- Liaise between teachers and guidance counselors to ensure credit awarded for course work.
- Help to monitor student needs and challenges to mitigate interferences and distractions to the general school community.
- Ensure that identified students are prepped for general classroom setting.
Cost
For a minimum retainer per school, we close the gaps in service delivery by filling the role of psychologists, administrators, social workers, behavior technicians, suspension and detention facilitators, general and special education teachers.
